About Living in Harmony
Get to Know Us
Living in Harmony Transitional Home is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young women ages 18–24 as they transition out of foster care and into independent living.

We provide more than just housing; we offer a safe, structured, and supportive environment where residents can grow, heal, and build a foundation for their future.

Through a combination of stable housing, life skills development, education support, employment readiness, and wellness programming, we equip each resident with the tools needed to thrive beyond our program.

Our goal is not temporary shelter, but long-term independence, ensuring every young woman leaves with the confidence, stability, and support system needed to succeed.

Why I Started Living in Harmony
"As a nurse, I have spent years caring for individuals during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Through this work, I saw firsthand how instability, especially the lack of safe housing, can deeply impact a person’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
I became especially drawn to the experiences of young women navigating life without consistent support systems, and I knew more needed to be done to create spaces where they could feel safe, seen, and supported."

From Personal Experience to Purpose
My professional journey exposed me to the realities many young people face when transitioning into adulthood without guidance. I witnessed how easily individuals can fall through the cracks when they lack access to stable housing, mentorship, and resources. These experiences fueled a deeper purpose: to create a space where young women are not only supported but also empowered to take control of their futures.
